Bess Goes to the Beach is the second book in the Bess of Clara Vale series and is a gently illustrated children’s book about belonging, sensory differences, and learning that being different is not something to be fixed.

Created by NHS nurse and autistic author-illustrator Lin Fidgin, it follows Bess, a thoughtful Labrador and her friends to the beach as she meets a new friend and discovers reassurance, friendship, and confidence along the way.
